Tithes, Offerings Belong To God — Apostle Chinyere

Tithes and offerings belong to God, and one of the greatest ways to please Him is by using them to serve and uplift His people.

This position was reiterated by Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), who emphasized that funds given in faith should be channeled toward humanitarian and life-transforming initiatives.
Under his leadership, OPM has continued to invest in large-scale social intervention programmes. These include the establishment of 42 free schools and two free hospitals, providing access to quality education and healthcare for thousands of underprivileged Nigerians.

The ministry also sponsors thousands of students through local and international university scholarships, while operating a specialised free school for children living with autism and Down syndrome. In addition, OPM runs free skills acquisition centres aimed at equipping individuals with vocational competencies for economic independence.
As part of its rehabilitation efforts, the ministry has developed programmes for former armed robbers, kidnappers, and cultists, as well as commercial sex workers, helping them reintegrate into society through empowerment and alternative livelihood opportunities.

In the area of housing and welfare, OPM has built free homes for widows and developed 18 free estates for individuals who cannot afford rent. It also supports agriculture by providing free land and seedlings to farmers, alongside facilitating overseas job placement opportunities for qualified beneficiaries.
Apostle Chinyere noted that these initiatives reflect a practical application of faith, demonstrating how resources dedicated to God can be used to positively impact lives and communities.
