Your Absence Has Shown The Leadership Qualities You Are Made Of---Eze Onuekwa

The President General of Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organisation Worldwide, Eze (Barrister) Godspower Onuekwa, has reflected on the six-month absence from office of the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, following his suspension for six months by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and welcomed him back to office, after the expiration of the suspension, saying, his absence for six months has shown the leadership qualities he is made of.

Eze Onuekwa, who made the remarks in a statement he personally signed to welcome Governor Fubara back to office, said the people and residents of the State dearly missed the Governor and his Deputy, Prof Ngozi Nma Odu during the period of their suspension.

While further reflecting on the absence of the Governor, the Mgboh XIII of the Mgboh Royal Family in Emohua Kingdom, noted that Governor Fubara's absence from office had clearly shown the leadership qualities he is made of, as the period of his suspension had stalled the progress and development of the State.

He further indicated that the peaceful disposition of the Governor had equally saved the State from the evil machinations of those he described as enemies of the State, and endeared him to all lovers of democracy all over the world.

While expressing delight and happiness over the return of Governor Fubara to office, Eze Onuekwa prayed that the experiences of the past six months would shape and strengthen the Governor, offering him a renewed resolve to continue his good works in office.

"The people and residents of the State missed you dearly and had been praying and yearning for your return to resume your good works in the State", he said.

While welcoming the Governor and his deputy back to Government House, the legal luminary said he, his family and his supporters love them both, and trust that they would double their efforts to catch up with lost grounds, saying, "We assure you of our unalloyed support and cooperation to take us to greater heights in the remaining months of your tenure."

"His Excellency, Sir, your peaceful disposition has indeed saved the State from the evil machinations of its enemies and endeared you to all lovers of democracy all over the world. Though the development has stalled the progress of the State, your absence has shown the world the type of leadership qualities you are made of," the statement read in part.
