The Kolokuma/Opokuma Federated Youth Council has conferred an Award of Excellence on Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, in recognition of his achievements in governance, infrastructural development, and human capital advancement.
The award was presented by the leadership of the Council, led by its President, Comrade Amaran Ayibanua Moses, who commended the governor for his diplomatic and inclusive approach to governance. According to him, the administration’s style has not only attracted people to the state but has also driven visible development across various sectors in Bayelsa.
Speaking during the presentation, the youth leader praised the governor’s proactive leadership, noting that young people in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area take pride in his accomplishments. He assured that the youths would continue to stand firmly with the governor politically.
Comrade Amaran also expressed gratitude for the administration’s sustained support for youth-focused initiatives, particularly within Kolokuma/Opokuma, describing such efforts as impactful and commendable.
In his response, Governor Diri appreciated the youths for their unwavering support and peaceful conduct over the years. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, emphasizing that his government remains open to initiatives that will further promote growth and development across the state.
