Bayelsa Set To Receive President Tinubu As Gas Turbine Project Records Progress

Bayelsa State is set for a significant moment as preparations reach a peak for the visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, April 10, 2026, following a major update on the state’s gas turbine project.

In a statement issued on April 9, 2026, the Technical Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli, expressed excitement over the development, describing it as a milestone worthy of celebration.
He attributed the progress recorded on the gas turbine initiative to the commitment and leadership of Douye Diri, commending the governor’s dedication to the socio-economic growth and overall prosperity of Bayelsa State.

The statement also acknowledged the role of the JAMPUR Group, led by its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mohammad Shafiq, for their contribution to the project’s advancement.
