The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, has congratulated Peter Pereotubo Akpe on his appointment, confirmation, and swearing-in as the 6th Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State.
In a goodwill message made available to the press, Lokpobiri described Dr. Akpe’s elevation as well-deserved, noting that it is a testament to his years of dedication, loyalty, and steadfast commitment to the growth and prosperity of Bayelsa State.
The Minister highlighted Dr. Akpe’s impressive record in public service, pointing out that he had served diligently as a member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff, where he demonstrated competence, discipline, and a steady hand in governance.
Expressing confidence in the new Deputy Governor’s capacity, Lokpobiri said Dr. Akpe would work harmoniously with Governor Douye Diri to consolidate on existing achievements and further strengthen governance in the state.
He commended the Deputy Governor for his invaluable contributions to the state and prayed that God grants him wisdom, strength, and divine enablement to excel in his new and higher responsibility.
