His Royal Majesty, Nyenwe-Eli Dr. Larry Azunda Nsirim, has enrolled selected youths across Rumueme Kingdom in a one-year tailoring and fashion design training programme designed to equip them with practical, income-generating skills for self-reliance and economic empowerment.
The initiative, carried out in partnership with key stakeholders, aligns with the monarch’s vision of preparing young people for sustainable livelihoods while strengthening community development across the kingdom.
As part of the programme, beneficiaries received complete training and starter packs to support both learning and immediate entry into the trade. The items included learning materials, basic training kits and sewing machines.
Addressing the participants, His Royal Majesty encouraged them to master their chosen skills, strive for excellence in their craft and pass on the knowledge to others within the community.
The youth skills acquisition programme underscores the traditional ruler’s continued commitment to youth development, economic independence and long-term growth of Rumueme Kingdom.
