Gov Diri Marks 6th Anniversary with Thanksgiving, Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Development

Governor Douye Diri on Saturday led government officials, political leaders and residents to a special thanksgiving service to commemorate the sixth anniversary of his administration at the Bayelsa State Ecumenical Centre in Yenagoa.

The event, held in an atmosphere of worship and gratitude, drew a large turnout of Bayelsans who gathered to thank God for what the governor described as six years of “assured prosperity” and steady progress across the state.
Addressing the congregation, Governor Diri reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting love, peace, unity and reconciliation as pillars for sustainable development in Bayelsa. He stressed that the government would remain focused on consolidating its achievements and ensuring that ongoing projects are completed within the remaining two years of his tenure.

The governor expressed deep appreciation to the people of the state for their unwavering support and for turning out in impressive numbers for the thanksgiving service. He also acknowledged the presence and solidarity of other leaders who joined the celebration at the Ecumenical Centre.
Governor Diri assured Bayelsans that his administration would sustain its developmental strides and work diligently to “finish strong,” emphasizing that collective prayers and cooperation remain vital to the continued growth and stability of the state.
