The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has reassured believers that God’s “insurance policy” offers complete coverage for both this present life and the life to come, stressing that believers must “pay the premium” through total obedience to God.
Pastor Adeboye gave the assurance on Sunday, February 1, 2026, during the first Sunday Thanksgiving Service at the RCCG National Headquarters, Kilometer 48, Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.
Preaching on the topic “Divine Insurance Policy”, with a scriptural text from Psalm 91:1–7, the cleric described God as a Father who provides His children with an unlimited and all-encompassing insurance policy.
According to him, “I have a Father who gives His children an insurance policy that is limitless.” He explained that God’s insurance goes beyond what human insurance can offer, covering sicknesses, natural disasters, and life’s uncertainties, noting that Jesus Christ has already paid the ultimate price for humanity through His death on the cross at Calvary.
Pastor Adeboye added that unlike human insurance schemes, which have clear limitations, God’s insurance extends even to areas often overlooked. “Human insurance does not cover sleep, but God’s insurance does,” he said, adding that divine insurance also guarantees satisfaction in life.
To illustrate this point, he recounted the example of a wealthy woman who had access to abundant food yet lacked satisfaction, resorting to eating from a dustbin after meals. He attributed such behavior to spiritual dissatisfaction and prayed against any force that deprives people of contentment, drawing loud “Amen” responses from the congregation.
In his concluding remarks, the General Overseer emphasized that while human insurance ends at death, God’s insurance continues into eternity. He cited Deuteronomy 28:1–13, stating that the “premium” required to enjoy God’s divine insurance is total obedience to His commands.
“Human insurance ends when you die, but God’s insurance is everlasting,” Pastor Adeboye said. “Jesus has paid the price of salvation, but believers must pay their premium by obeying God completely.”
He urged Christians to live in full obedience to God, stressing that this is the only way to fully enjoy the benefits of God’s insurance in this life and in the world to come.
