Fubara Appoints New SSG, Chief of Staff, Swearing-In Holds Today in Port Harcourt

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of Dr. Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff.

The appointments take immediate effect.

According to an official statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi, the newly appointed officials will be sworn in at 2:00 p.m. today, Thursday, February 26, 2026.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to hold at the Executive Council Chamber of Government House, Port Harcourt.

The appointments are seen as part of ongoing efforts by the Fubara administration to strengthen governance and enhance effective service delivery in the state.
