The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service as part of efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and service delivery.
The development was made known in a Government Special Announcement issued by the Head of the Rivers State Civil Service, Dr. (Mrs.) Inyingi Brown, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Those appointed are Dr. Vincent Worgu Wachukwu, Cordelia Uwuma Eke, Ifeanyi Anthony Ogboma, Dr. Mina Gogo Jim-Jaja, and Mr. Henry Uzor.
According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect and are aimed at strengthening the machinery of government across various ministries, departments, and agencies.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are scheduled to be sworn in by Governor Fubara on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
The appointments are seen as part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to improving governance and ensuring efficient public service delivery in the state.
