Diri Inaugurates RHA LG Coordinators, APC Congress Committees, Rallies Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election

Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, on Thursday inaugurated local government coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) across the eight councils of the state under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), charging party faithful to prioritise President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Speaking at an APC stakeholders’ meeting held at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall in Yenagoa, Diri urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to mobilise members for the forthcoming ward, local government and state congresses, and to ensure victory for the party at all levels.
He confirmed Chief Tiwei Orunimighe as the state coordinator of the RHA and tasked the local government coordinators to promote inclusive leadership and work closely with the South-South zonal coordinator, Ifeanyi Okowa.

The governor cautioned party leaders against divisive tendencies, stressing the need for unity of purpose across wards and local government areas.
“We are aware that some of you have personal political ambitions,” Diri said. “However, such ambitions should be put on hold for now. Our collective and overriding goal is the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. The nomination of President Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate of the APC must remain our number one priority.”
