2026 Will Be Remarkable, Hunger Will Reduce,   and ‘Japa’ Nigerians Will Return- Adeboye
Port Harcourt, Nigeria – January 1, 2026 – The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has shared his prophetic outlook for 2026, declaring it a year of remarkable breakthroughs, abundant opportunities, and divine intervention for individuals and nations.

Speaking during the RCCG Crossover Service, Pastor Adeboye highlighted that 2026 would surpass the previous year in terms of spiritual and material blessings. “This year will be more remarkable than 2025. The wind that has been blowing since 2024 will continue to blow more strongly than before,” he said, emphasizing that God will open doors to more successes, victories, and fewer failures. According to him, many testimonies this year will begin with, “God remembered me at last!”

On Nigeria, Pastor Adeboye revealed promising developments:

There will be a reduction in hunger across the country.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are expected to begin flourishing.

A phenomenon he referred to as reverse ‘japa’ is anticipated, where many Nigerians who had traveled abroad in search of opportunities will return home.

He noted that further details concerning Nigeria would be shared later after prayerful consideration.

Internationally, Pastor Adeboye indicated that the risk of major wars is lower in 2026 compared to the previous year. Regarding weather patterns, he said the trend will largely mirror 2025, although there remains a possibility of a few major hurricanes.

Addressing skeptics who question the power of prayer and fasting, Pastor Adeboye reaffirmed the efficacy of God’s intervention. “We are not asking God to come down. Heaven is His throne, and the Earth is His footstool. It is Almighty God who rules the affairs of men,” he stated. He also disclosed that, contrary to expectations, any fasting that may take place will not begin on January 11 as anticipated, assuring the faithful that the schedule remains under God’s direction.

Pastor Adeboye urged all RCCG members to continue in prayer, promising that God’s grace would guide them throughout the year.
