Shetima Reaffirms Tinubu’s Commitment to Strengthening Armed Forces at Armed Forces Remembrance Jumma’a Prayer

Vice President Kashim Shetima on Friday joined Muslim faithful at a special Jumma’a Prayer held at the National Mosque, Abuja, to commemorate the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day.

Speaking at the event, Shetima reaffirmed the resolve of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to continually empower and equip the Nigerian Armed Forces to effectively confront and overcome the nation’s security challenges.

He paid glowing tribute to officers and men of the Armed Forces who have laid down their lives in the line of duty, acknowledging their supreme sacrifice in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting the lives and property of citizens.

The Vice President emphasized that the sacrifices of fallen heroes would never be forgotten, assuring that the Federal Government remains committed to the welfare of serving personnel and the families of the deceased, in recognition of their selfless service to the nation.
