Rivers State Safe, Open For Business – Fubara




Despite distractions, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has reiterated that his administration remains steadfast and fully committed to delivering its mandate of fostering peace, harmony and sustainable development for the people of the state.

The governor stated this while attending the grand finale of the 2026 Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Port Harcourt International Polo Tournament, held in Port Harcourt, where the international sporting event ended peacefully without recording any security incident.
Governor Fubara noted that the calm, orderly and incident-free atmosphere that characterised the tournament once again affirmed that Rivers State is safe and open for business, leisure, sports tourism and global engagements. He stressed that such successful events reflect the improving security architecture of the state and the collective resolve of stakeholders to maintain peaceful.
According to him, his administration will continue to prioritise policies and actions that promote stability, attract investment and create an enabling environment for economic growth, assuring residents and visitors that Rivers State remains welcoming and conducive for both local and international activities.
