NCSU Felicitates Governor Fubara At 51 ...... Lauds His Peaceful, God-Fearing Leadership

As Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, prepares to celebrate his 51st birthday on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the Nigerian Civil Service Union (NCSU) has congratulated the Governor, describing him as a symbol of hope, resilience, and peaceful leadership in Nigeria’s political landscape.

The union expressed confidence that Governor Fubara’s vision for Rivers State would be fully realised during his tenure, despite political challenges and opposition forces.

In a goodwill message personally signed by the Rivers State Chairman of the Nigerian Civil Service Union, Comrade Chukwuka Richman Osumah, the NCSU said the governor’s 51st birthday marks a significant milestone worthy of reflection, celebration, and renewed commitment to service.

According to Osumah, Governor Fubara has continued to demonstrate uncommon courage and focus in the face of deliberate attempts by detractors to frustrate his aspirations and derail his developmental agenda for the people of Rivers State.

He described the governor as a beacon of hope for young Nigerians, noting that his leadership style has inspired confidence among civil servants, labour unions, and the general populace.
“Despite the forces of darkness and desperate efforts by some individuals to truncate his vision for the Rivers people, Governor Fubara has remained steadfast, peaceful, and committed to inclusive governance,” the statement read.

The NCSU Chairman commended Governor Fubara for what he described as exemplary leadership anchored on the fear of God, genuine empathy, humility, and unwavering concern for the welfare of the people.

He noted that the governor’s calm disposition and peace-driven leadership have set him apart at a time when many states across the country are grappling with political instability, social tension, and divisive governance.

“Governor Fubara is a man of deep spiritual conviction whose fear of God reflects clearly in his humility, calmness, and decision-making process. His empathy and camaraderie with the people have helped to bridge the gap between government and the governed, fostering renewed trust in public leadership across Rivers State,” Osumah stated.

The labour leader further observed that since assuming office, Governor Fubara has projected an enduring aura of peace, which has positively influenced the political, social, and cultural environment of the state.

According to him, the governor’s consistent preference for dialogue, consultation, and inclusiveness over confrontation has helped to reduce political tension and sustain stability in an otherwise volatile political climate characterised by aggressive political permutations.

Osumah stressed that Governor Fubara has remained at the forefront of what he described as a quiet renaissance in Rivers State, promoting governance that prioritises unity, justice, mutual respect, and the collective interest of the people above personal or partisan gains.

He said this approach has strengthened democratic values and encouraged cooperation among political leaders, traditional rulers, labour unions, civil society organisations, and other key stakeholders in the state.
Describing the governor’s instrumentality of peace as a breath of fresh air, Osumah said Governor Fubara’s moral clarity, strength of character, and commitment to justice have earned him admiration across party lines and among various socio-cultural groups within and outside Rivers State.

He added that the governor has consistently shown openness to constructive criticism, transparency in governance, and support for initiatives aimed at fostering social harmony, inclusion, and sustainable development.

The NCSU Chairman noted that as political discussions intensify ahead of future electoral cycles, Governor Fubara’s leadership style stands as a compelling model of governance rooted in character, compassion, and peace.

“Governor Fubara has demonstrated that true leadership is not about aggression or intimidation, but about service, humility, and the courage to uphold peace even in difficult and challenging times,” he said.

The union concluded by praying for good health, divine wisdom, and many more fruitful years for the governor, expressing confidence that his administration would continue to deliver people-oriented governance for the benefit of Rivers State residents.
