Kaa–Ataba Bridge Project on Track for Timely Completion — NDDC Chairman



The Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr Samuel Ogbuku, has assured residents of Rivers State and the wider Niger Delta region that work on the Kaa–Ataba Bridge project is progressing steadily and in line with the approved project timeline.

Dr Ogbuku disclosed this while providing an update on the status of the critical infrastructure project, noting that the Commission is working with a highly competent contractor who has given firm assurances that the bridge will be completed within record time.

According to him, the NDDC maintains constant engagement with engineers on site, adding that their level of professionalism, commitment and determination aligns fully with the Commission’s expectations and delivery standards.

> “We are satisfied with the pace and quality of work being carried out. Our engineers are fully on ground, and the contractor has demonstrated capacity and seriousness of purpose to deliver this project as scheduled,” Dr Ogbuku said.



The NDDC Chairman further reassured stakeholders that adequate funding has been secured for the completion of the Kaa–Ataba Bridge, stressing that potential challenges associated with the project have been anticipated and proactively addressed to prevent delays.

He emphasized that the bridge, when completed, will significantly enhance connectivity, boost economic activities, and improve the quality of life for communities in the area.

Dr Ogbuku reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to delivering people-oriented and impactful infrastructure projects in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the Niger Delta.
