HRM Nyenwe-Eli Dr. Larry Azunda Nsirim Proclaims Era of Peace, Unity and Inclusive Development in Rumueme Kingdom
His Royal Majesty, Nyenwe-Eli Dr. Larry Azunda Nsirim, Paramount Ruler of Rumueme Kingdom, has formally proclaimed the beginning of his reign with a strong commitment to peace, unity, justice, reconciliation, and the collective prosperity of the Kingdom.
In a solemn proclamation dated January 25, 2026, the Monarch expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the grace and responsibility bestowed upon him, describing his ascension to the ancient throne as both an honour and a sacred duty to serve the people of Rumueme Kingdom with humility and fairness.
Dr. Nsirim extended profound appreciation to the people of Rumukpakani Community and the entire Rumueme Kingdom, under the guidance of the Rumueme Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers, for the confidence reposed in him and for upholding the traditions of their forefathers.
Addressing recent misunderstandings and disputes that have strained unity within the Kingdom, the Nyenwe-Eli emphasized that Rumueme’s shared history, communal bonds, and destiny are greater than any division. He called for healing, patience, wisdom, and a renewed commitment to dialogue, mutual respect, and reconciliation.
> “This moment calls for healing and a return to dialogue. It is time to turn away from discord and rebuild trust as one family,” the Monarch stated.
He further called on all sons and daughters of Rumueme Kingdom, both at home and in the diaspora, to embrace peace as a common purpose, stressing that unity is essential for sustainable progress and strength.
Outlining his development vision, the Paramount Ruler said his reign will focus on education, youth development, skills acquisition, empowerment, employment opportunities, and sustainable economic growth. He envisioned a Rumueme Kingdom that attracts investment, encourages enterprise, and provides equal opportunities for all citizens, free from fear, division, or partisan interests.
In a significant move toward lasting harmony, Dr. Nsirim announced plans to constitute a Peace and Reconciliation Committee to drive a transparent and inclusive process of dialogue and healing, ensuring that every voice is heard and every concern addressed with fairness and respect.
He also urged all indigenes and residents to continue their lawful activities in peace and cooperation, assuring them of his unwavering commitment to justice, unity, and the overall well-being of the Kingdom.
The proclamation concluded with prayers for divine blessings upon Rumueme Kingdom, Rivers State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the new Monarch begins a reign anchored on service, reconciliation, and shared prosperity.
