Fubara Swears In Five Special Advisers, Tasks Them on Service, Loyalty and Development in Rivers State
The Governor of Rivers State has formally sworn in five new Special Advisers, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening governance, policy implementation, and effective service delivery across the state.
The newly sworn-in Special Advisers are Barrister Eloka Tasie-Amadi, former Commissioner for Works; Professor Peter Medee, former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning; Barrister Emmanuel Frank Fubara, former Commissioner for Finance; Victor Ekaro, former Special Adviser on Security to former Governor Nyesom Wike; and Dr. Darlington Oji, former Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area.
The swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the Government House, was attended by top government officials, party leaders, and well-wishers. Addressing the appointees, the Governor emphasized that their selection was based on their experience, competence, and past contributions to public service. He noted that their appointments were strategic and aimed at deepening the capacity of government to meet the expectations of the people of Rivers State.
The Governor charged the advisers to discharge their duties with diligence, integrity, and unwavering loyalty to the administration and the state. He urged them to provide sound policy advice, support the execution of government programmes, and work collaboratively with other arms of government to achieve the administration’s development goals.
According to him, the state is at a critical stage that requires experienced hands and clear-headed leadership to sustain progress in infrastructure development, economic planning, financial management, security, and grassroots governance. He stressed that the advisers must place the interests of Rivers people above personal considerations.
In their responses, the newly appointed Special Advisers expressed gratitude to the Governor for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to justify the trust by offering their best services. They assured the Governor and the people of Rivers State of their commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that will promote peace, stability, and sustainable development.
The appointments are widely seen as a move to consolidate governance by drawing on the expertise of seasoned administrators and professionals, as the Rivers State Government continues to pursue inclusive development and responsive leadership.
