Eze Gbakabaka Visits Rumueme Kingdom, Pledges Support for New Nyenwe-Eli

The Eze Gbakabaka of Evo Kingdom, His Majesty Eze Prof. (AMB) Sir Leslie Nyebuchi Eke (V), JP, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to Rumueme Kingdom in Rivers State following the announcement of the coronation of the new Nyenwe-Eli of Rumueme Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Nyenwe-Eli Dr. Larry Azunda Nsirim.

Eze Gbakabaka, who is also the Nyerisi Eli Woji (Eze Woji XII), Nyerisi Mbam Oro-Evo Clan and Eze Oha Evo III of Evo Kingdom, commended the Rumueme Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers for what he described as their steadfast leadership and commitment to orderly governance within the kingdom.
He urged members of the Council to remain united and to continue working collectively in the overall interest of the Rumueme people, stressing that unity among traditional institutions remains key to peace and development at the grassroots.

The first-class monarch further called on the Council to give full support to the newly crowned Nyenwe-Eli, noting that strong institutional backing would be crucial to the success of his reign. Addressing Dr. Nsirim directly, Eze Gbakabaka encouraged him to remain focused, resilient, and dedicated to selfless service, assuring him of his personal support and availability whenever needed.
During the visit, Eze Gbakabaka paid glowing tribute to the late HRM Omunakwe Nyeche Nsirim (MON), Apiti of Rumueme Kingdom, whom he described as a courageous leader and a father figure who worked tirelessly for the progress of his people. He also honored the memory of the immediate past Nyenwe-Eli, the late HRM Nyenwe-Eli Ndamzi Nsirim, JP, recalling him as a quiet, principled, and forthright leader who stood firmly for truth and justice.

In his closing remarks, the monarch called on the people of Rumueme Kingdom to continue supporting the Rivers State Government to enable the community benefit fully from development initiatives and the dividends of good governance.
Responding on behalf of the Rumueme Kingdom Council of Traditional Rulers, the Chairman and Traditional Prime Minister, Nyerisi Mbam Engr. Amb. Larry A. Nyeche, expressed gratitude to Eze Gbakabaka for his consistent show of solidarity with Rumueme Kingdom. He reaffirmed that the long-standing relationship between Rumueme Kingdom and Evo Kingdom would continue to grow stronger, anchored on mutual respect and cooperation.

In his remarks, the newly crowned Nyenwe-Eli, HRM Dr. Larry Azunda Nsirim, thanked Eze Gbakabaka for honoring Rumueme Kingdom with his visit at such a historic moment. He expressed appreciation for the warmth extended to the people of Rumueme Kingdom by the Evo monarch and pledged to sustain and strengthen the cordial relationship between both kingdoms.
