BREAKING: APC Extends E-Registration to Feb 8, Shifts Ward Congresses, Convention Dates

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026, and rescheduled its ward congresses and national convention, the party has announced.

The decision was taken at the 183rd meeting of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
In a statement released by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the NWC said the extension of the e-registration exercise from January 31 to February 8 followed appeals from party stakeholders to allow more members and supporters to register and validate their membership.

According to the party, APC ward congresses will now hold on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the national convention has been rescheduled for March 27–28, 2026.
The party also announced that Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will be excluded from the scheduled congresses due to forthcoming elections. Rivers State was similarly excluded owing to the subsisting tenure of the current state executive committee.

The APC further confirmed that the National Convention Planning Committee has been constituted, noting that full details of the revised congress timetable, schedule of activities, and the committee’s composition will be announced in due course.
