Wike Thanks Etche, Omuma for Warm Reception, Moves Campaign to Khana and Gokana


Former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed deep appreciation to the people of Etche and Omuma Local Government Areas for the overwhelming reception accorded him during his visit on Tuesday.

Wike described the turnout and show of solidarity as a clear demonstration of the people’s continued support and confidence in purposeful leadership, noting that the enthusiasm witnessed across the communities was both encouraging and humbling.
Speaking after the engagements, Wike said the warm welcome reaffirmed his long-standing bond with the people of Rivers State and their shared commitment to progress, unity and good governance.
“I sincerely thank the people of Etche and Omuma LGAs for the love, support and massive reception yesterday. Your encouragement strengthens our resolve to continue working for the overall interest of our people,” he said.

The former governor announced that today’s engagements will shift to Khana and Gokana Local Government Areas, where he is expected to meet stakeholders, traditional rulers, youths and party faithfuls as part of ongoing consultations and interactions across the state.
Wike reiterated his commitment to inclusive development, peace and stability in Rivers State, stressing that continuous dialogue with grassroots communities remains essential for sustaining growth and strengthening democratic values.
Residents of Khana and Gokana LGAs are expected to turn out in large numbers to receive the former governor as activities continue across the Ogoni axis.
