VP Shettima Visits Bomb Blast Survivors in Maiduguri, Reassures Nigerians of Federal Government’s Commitment to Security

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Friday visited the Muhammadu Buhari Trauma Centre at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), where survivors of a recent bomb explosion are currently receiving medical treatment.

During the visit, the Vice President met with victims of the attack, offering words of comfort and solidarity as he commiserated with them over the tragic incident. He conveyed the heartfelt sympathy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government to the injured persons and their families.
Vice President Shettima praised the medical personnel at the trauma centre for their dedication and professionalism in responding swiftly to the emergency and providing critical care to the victims.

He reassured residents of Borno State and Nigerians across the country that the Federal Government remains resolute in its constitutional responsibility to protect lives and property. According to him, the Tinubu administration is committed to strengthening security measures and ensuring that those responsible for acts of terror are brought to justice.
The Vice President urged citizens to remain resilient and united, stressing that terrorism would not be allowed to undermine peace, stability and national cohesion.
