Valerie Fubara Shares Christmas Cheer with Newborns, Children in Rivers

Christmas Day came alive with compassion and celebration as the Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Her Excellency Lady Valerie Siminalayi Fubara, shared love and joy with babies born on Christmas morning at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) and visited children at the Port Harcourt Children’s Home.

During the visit to RSUTH, Lady Fubara rejoiced with mothers who welcomed their babies on the sacred day, describing the newborns as “precious gifts of hope” whose lives should be cherished and nurtured with care. She offered words of encouragement to the families and commended the dedication of healthcare workers on duty during the festive period.
At the Port Harcourt Children’s Home, the First Lady spent quality time with the children, spreading cheer through warm interactions and festive goodwill. She reaffirmed her commitment to promoting the welfare and wellbeing of children across Rivers State, emphasizing that every child deserves love, protection, and opportunities to thrive.

Lady Fubara noted that the Christmas season is a powerful reminder of compassion, selflessness, and service to humanity, values she continues to uphold through her outreach initiatives across the state.
