Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has commissioned a newly constructed 2-kilometre road in Abatete, built by renowned philanthropist and development advocate, Dr. Victor Iloegbunam, describing the project as a shining example of community-driven development.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Governor Soludo praised Dr. Iloegbunam for responding to the state’s call for Public-Private-Community-Partnership (PPCP), noting that the initiative has significantly improved access and quality of life for residents of the community.
According to the Governor, the project reflects the administration’s vision of inclusive development, where government collaborates with individuals and communities to accelerate grassroots transformation.
“This is the kind of impactful initiative that truly warms the heart,” Soludo said. “Dr. Victor Iloegbunam has demonstrated that when citizens partner with government, great things can be achieved. His contribution has not only enhanced infrastructure in Abatete but has also set a standard for others to follow.”
Governor Soludo expressed gratitude to Dr. Iloegbunam and other well-meaning Anambra indigenes who understand the power of collective responsibility in driving sustainable development across the state.
He congratulated Dr. Iloegbunam and the people of Abatete on the successful completion of the road project, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to transforming Anambra through strategic partnerships and people-centred governance.
“Together, we are building an Anambra that works for everyone, one project at a time,” the Governor added.
