Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening tertiary education in the state following a stakeholder engagement visit to the LAUTECH Iseyin Campus.
The Governor, who led the visit as earlier promised, met with students, management of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, as well as representatives of the host community to deliberate on a range of issues affecting the smooth running of the institution.
According to Governor Makinde, the engagement provided an opportunity for all parties to openly present their concerns, observations and expectations regarding the academic environment, infrastructure, welfare and overall development of the campus.
He noted that the discussions were productive and underscored the importance of collaborative problem-solving in ensuring sustainable growth and stability within the institution.
Following the engagement, it was jointly agreed that a follow-up meeting will be held in Ibadan next month, where more in-depth deliberations will take place with a view to addressing the identified challenges and implementing practical solutions.
Governor Makinde assured students, staff and community stakeholders of the state government’s resolve to take decisive steps that will enhance learning, improve facilities and promote harmony at the LAUTECH Iseyin Campus, in line with his administration’s education-focused agenda.
