Diri Leads Family to Annual Thanksgiving in Bayelsa, Appreciates God for Unity and Good Health
Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Sunday led members of his immediate and extended families to their annual thanksgiving service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Sampou community, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.
The thanksgiving service, which drew family members, friends and well-wishers, was marked by prayers, songs of praise and expressions of gratitude to God for His faithfulness to the Diri family over the years.
Governor Diri described the occasion as a special moment of reflection and appreciation, noting that the family gathered to thank God for the unity, love and strong bond of togetherness that continue to define them.
According to him, the presence of his wives, brothers, sisters, children and other relatives at the service underscored the importance of family cohesion and shared values rooted in faith and mutual respect.
The clerics at the service offered prayers for the family, asking God to grant them continued good health, sound mind and divine protection. Governor Diri expressed appreciation for the prayers, saying they aligned with the family’s desire to remain steadfast and committed to God.
He also thanked friends and well-wishers who joined the family to celebrate the thanksgiving service, describing their presence as a show of love and goodwill.
The governor concluded by reaffirming his gratitude to God for His blessings upon the Diri family and for the peace and harmony they continue to enjoy.
