In a startling turn of events, actress Regina Daniels has released a passionate statement addressing recent controversies involving her and politician Ned Nwoko, firmly denying claims that her family has any connection to the ongoing issues surrounding her personal life.
According to Regina, Nwoko has repeatedly attempted to distance her from her family and inner circle, allegedly using the media to paint a distorted picture of her situation. She accused him of weaponizing her past struggles with substance use to divert attention from deeper personal and emotional conflicts between them.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you ran to the media shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs’ just to make me look bad and distract everyone from the real issue,” Regina said in her statement.
She further alleged that Nwoko has been using his influence to isolate her by targeting those close to her.
“You want to arrest everyone around me so I’ll have no one left — no friends, no support, no safe place. Then when I’m completely broken, I’ll be forced to come back to you. That’s always been your strategy — to break people down and control them. But not this time,” she added.
In her statement, Regina made several serious allegations, claiming that Nwoko at times encouraged her drug use, saying she was “sexier” while high. She also accused him of physical and emotional abuse, forced confinement, and unauthorized medical treatments meant to portray her as mentally unstable.
“You seize my phones, lock me up, and call doctors to inject me with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder. Once I say I don’t want the relationship anymore, I’m suddenly ‘mentally unstable.’ But the moment I change my mind just to be free, I’m fine again,” she said.
Regina also clarified that there was no legal marriage between them, disputing widespread public assumptions.
“For the record, I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law. No documents were signed. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force,” she stated firmly.
She concluded by calling on Nwoko to stop using her name and family in the media, urging him to “tell the full truth” rather than continuing what she described as a campaign of manipulation and control.
