The Nigeria Civil Service Union(NCSU) has felicitated the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Prof Ngozi Nma Odu, on her birthday celebration, describing her as a beacon of hope for the people of the State, the womenfolk, the downtrodden and civil servants in the State.
The Rivers State Chairman of NCSU, Comrade Chukwuka Richman Osumah, who gave the indication in a statement he personally signed to celebrate with the Deputy Governor, said the entire members of the union are particularly proud of Prof Odu and are happy to felicitate her on this auspicious occasion of her birthday celebration, following her enormous goodwill, unprecedented achievements, untainted accomplishments, and the exemplary milestones she has recorded in life over the years.
Osumah noted that the union in conjunction with civil servants in the State is celebrating the Deputy Governor on this auspicious occasion, essentially because of her humane and motherly disposition, coupled with the cordial relationship she has cultivated over the years with the organised labour movement in the State.
While congratulating her on behalf of the State Administrative Council(SAC) and the State Executive Council(SEC) of the union, the labour leader said Prof Odu has always proved that she is a dependable ally and friend of workers in the State, and prayed Almighty God to continue to grant her divine wisdom, good health, unquantifiable blessings and renewed strength to serve Rivers people with even greater distinction.
The State Secretary of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council noted that the birthday celebration is yet another reminder of Her Excellency's exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to public service, as well as dedication to the growth and development of the State.
According to the statement, Her Excellency's humility, uncommon wisdom and motherly and humane disposition have continued to inspire many across the State, Nigeria and the world.
Osumah said the Deputy Governor has continued to demonstrate that she is not only the pride of Ogba/ Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, where she hails from but also an illuminating model for the womenfolk in the State and the country, and wished her well on her special birthday celebration.
