NCSU Visits New Civil Service Commission Chairman .....Hails His Appointment

The Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU), Rivers State Council, has visited the new Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC), Dr Barikor Livinus Baribuma, describing his appointment as appropriate and well thought-out, being a retired civil servant in the State.
The Rivers State Chairman of NCSU, Comrade Chukwuka Richman Osumah, who led other officers of the union on a courtesy visit to Dr Baribuma in his office in Port Harcourt, said in an interview that the RSCSC boss received the august visitors with open arm, enthusiasm and delight, being himself a former civil servant in the State.
According to him, he led both members of the State Administrative Council (SAC) and State Executive Council (SEC) of the union on the visit.
Osumah further noted that the discussions the union leaders had with the RSCSC chairman were very fruitful, as they were geared towards bettering the wellbeing and welfare of civil servants in the State.
He disclosed that the issues discussed with the RSCSC boss include the Contributory Pension Scheme; promotion; recruitment into the civil service; and shortfall of salaries and pensions despite biometric captures; among others.
The labour leader said the RSCSC chairman deserves the support of the entire workforce in the State, describing him as a round peg in a round hole.
